I've been trying to make more of an effort to cook new things more often, but it's really easy to get stuck in a rut. Once you have a repertoire of recipes you can get plenty of variety in your diet without having to try anything new.
So I have a new goal, try to make something new every Saturday. This week was a little hectic at work so I didn't have as much time to research a new recipe as I would have liked. So instead of trying something new, I repurposed my old banana bread recipes.
A few weeks ago I got some silicone muffin pan liners. One of the things that I dislike about making anything in a muffin pan is that even with a non-stick pan and a healthy amount of cooking spray, muffins will still get stuck and come out marred. When I saw these silicone muffin liners on Amazon I thought these could fix my problems.
I'm happy to report that silicone liners work miracles. Not only that, but my banana bread recipe works really well with a crumble topping.
